social distancing and slowly decorating

Since moving into our home, I've been making a mental list of projects that I've been meaning to tackle. One thing that I am ashamed to admit, is how long I've been meaning to hang pictures and art up on these walls! Somehow, these past three weeks of social distancing has made me even more aware of these naked walls, that have been shamefully empty for almost three years!

So, during this time away from the world, I've made it my mission to tackle some of the projects and empty spaces that I've previously disguised with only baskets. (Baskets alone can only do so much, am I right?)

   

So, in an attempt to make my new dedicated Work From Home space a little more inviting, I collaborated with Photowall to bring just the right touch of warmth and light to my otherwise bare walls.

After finally deciding on this rose print (with the cutest wood frame!), I was surprised by how quickly it arrived at my door. It came with everything I needed to assemble the poster, myself, and made it super easy to hang.

The hardest part was deciding which deserving wall to hang her on! I tried a few spots out and ended up hanging her in my powder room. It's a downstairs space that's used often by myself (and guests), so I think this poster is just the piece to warm up this little space, nicely.

Now that this space has been refreshed, I'm so excited to tackle some of the other corners of my home to give them new life!
