I have grown accustomed to having no life.
Not in the weird hermity way, but more in the I-barely-have-time-to-breathe way!
You see, all semester, I couldn't wait for a breather. All those last minute papers and uber intense fifty page tests were really starting to get to me. I would wake up at 5 in the morning and stay awake until 2 in the afternoon the next day. All that education plus working up to fifty hours in a week didn't leave a lot of time for normal people stuff. And now that I have a break, well, I don't know what to do with myself!!
I mean, I spend time on blogs. And I go to work. And sometimes, I spend time on blogs at work (Shhh!). And - don't get me wrong, it's been heavanly! - but all of this laziness has caused me to wonder what normal people do. I mean what do they do with their lives?! (Other than take snazzy self-timer pictures that blur out half of their faces....)
I have two weeks left to figure it out, before the school cycle begins again.
What are some of your favorite things to do?

My life sounds so similar to yours! Sometimes I find it amazing that I have things to talk about on my blog! :)
ReplyDeleteI spend my free time blogging and reading other blogs. But I also enjoy Do It Yourself projects, reading, baking, having the occasional bottle of wine with friends, and dinner dates with the boyfriend!
I wish I could work. My education takes up most of my week. I get 2 days off completely off. In my free time I blog. Love the coat.
ReplyDeleteXo
Love that coat!
ReplyDeletethanks so much for your lovely comment! I love your coat!
ReplyDeletehaha I understand your problem, I felt the same after my final exams last year.
What I did: read books, met all friends i neglected, started pilates and yoga and of course looked for a job.

I love your blog!! And I love your 365 day wardrobe challenge- what a cool idea:)
ReplyDeleteYou could take up a new hobby of something you've always wanted to try: like sketching or guitar playing or training for a half marathon... just some suggestions:)
Have a great day!
You have no idea how often I think about that. What do "normal" people do? It always seems like other people's lives are so busy, full of wonderful experiences and definitely more exciting than mine.
ReplyDeleteIn my free time I like to relax while watching my favorite TV shows, read books or magazines and organize my closets. So "exciting", don't you think? ;-)
Just try to relax, find something that makes you happy and energized. xxx
EEEKK!! I won! I won! Now you just have to help me figure out how to make cute stuff!
ReplyDeleteI felt that way over the summer. I worked over 8 hours a day and then just came home and looked at blogs and then went to bed. At least over break I caught up on some TV series I wanted to see and read half a dozen books. When school's in session, I work a lot and study a lot, but now that I'm 21 I go to bars and just hang out a lot, too. Normal is relative!
ReplyDeleteLove that red coat & cozy scarf - so cute :)

Great scarf. Is it a cowl?
ReplyDeleteAnd I don't have much of a social life either. But its something I'm working on. I actually find events to go to that pertain to my interests. Art shows, readings, or just going around the city to explore. And besides blogging, I like read, knit, and sew. But I'm ready to get back on a schedule again. I need some structure.
You are the cutest ever! I love that coat! And I couldn't even imagine going to school + working that much... I would DIE.

I've been into finding hobbies. Blogging, photography, going to events, reading, and really random stuff.
